Tarleton golf travels this fall

Tarleton State University’s mens golf program makes its return after 25 years. Here’s what they are up to this fall. 

Sept. 26-27: Mens golf at the Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate

The Texans begin their fall tour at the invitational hosted by the University of Alabama – Birmingham. This two-day event is at the RTJ at Silver Lakes in Gadsden, Alabama.  

Oct. 10-11: Mens golf at the Oregon State Invitational 

PAC-12 conference member Oregon State will present at the Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Oregon. 

According to Trysting Tree Golf Club, “The course rating is 74.4 and it has a slope rating of 127 on Bent grass.”

Oct. 17-19: Mens golf at the TPC Colorado Collegiate 

Summit League member The University of Denver will host this tournament. The Texans will play at the TPC Colorado, an 18-hole championship course. 

The women’s team will travel many miles this fall. Here’s what they are up to. 

Sept. 12-13: Womens Golf at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic

Utah Valley hosts this tournament at the Hobble Creek Golf Course in Springville, Utah. Programs like Boise State, Cal Poly, Gonzaga, Weber State and Wyoming, as well as fellow Western Athletic Conference (WAC) members like Seattle, have participated in the past.

Sept. 26-27: Womens Golf at the Remax Prime Properties Bearkat Invitational

WAC foe Sam Houston State University hosts this event at the Bearkat Course in Huntsville. 

Oct. 3-4: Womens Golf at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational 

Seattle University presents this event at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club in Lakewood, Washington. Notable NCAA Division I programs such as High Point, Nevada and South Dakota State have previously participated. 

Oct. 17-18: Womens Golf at the Little Rock Women’s Golf Classic

Ohio Valley Conference member, the University of Little Rock, will present this tournament at the Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
