Tarleton Volleyball sets a new school record at No. 11 in the AVCA

The TexAnns are currently the highest nationally ranked team in the Lone Star Conference and are ranked No. 11 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. This is the highest ranking the TexAnns have achieved in program history, topping this year’s previous high of No. 13 from last week.

Tarleton State University is riding a 13-match winning streak and has improved to 20-4 overall for the season. Tarleton’s first national ranking came in the final poll of the 2016 season where the TexAnns premiered at No. 25.
The TexAnns will put their winning streak to the test in a nationally-ranked home match against Angelo State University today at 7 p.m. in the Wisdom Gym. Tarleton and Angelo State will meet for the third time this season and for the 52nd time in program history.
Hailey Roberts enters the weekend with 2,192 career kills and continues on towards setting the new Lone Star Conference kill record. Central Oklahoma’s Alma Brahimaj holds the current record of 2,404 career kills from 2002.
This weekend, the TexAnns will hit the road to face off against the University of Texas of the Permian Basin this Friday at 7 p.m. The following game is scheduled against West Texas A&M University in Canyon on Saturday at 2 p.m.
