Vendors from across Erath County will gather at Bella Vita Ranch in Stephenville on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m for the seventh annual Taste of Erath County fundraiser hosted by the Erath County United Way (ECUW). The community is invited to come for wine tastings and to try food and drinks from different vendors around the county.
“The Taste of Erath County features thirteen different vendors throughout Erath County serving their specialties in the categories of appetizers, entrees and desserts along with samples of beer and wine,” Kathy Hampton, 2018 ECUW President, said.
All proceeds will go to ECUW, a non-profit organization that works with other agencies in the area to provide funding to individuals in need.
“United Way is working to bring about lasting changes in our community with partner agencies throughout Erath County,” Hampton said. “Erath County United Way partnered with sixteen non-profit agencies serving Erath County this year. The money that is raised supports these local non-profit agencies that directly serve the needs of our community.”
The Taste of Erath will also feature a silent auction that helps to provide scholarships to students in the county.
“Erath County United Way may award up to four $500 scholarships to Erath County graduates to help defray the cost of educational expenses,” Hampton said.
Hampton says that the Taste of Erath gives people an opportunity to make an impact in the community.
“This event allows the participants to be a part of making a difference right here in our community,” Hampton said. “Together we have the power to bring about positive change within our neighborhoods. Erath County United Way exists to unite our communities’ time, talent and treasure to cultivate and advance community solutions that address the most critical issues around basic needs, education, financial stability and healthy lives. The Taste of Erath County makes funds to make these goals possible.”
