After five months of renovations, the Triple G Cafe in Stephenville will open its doors to the public on June 6.

This family-owned restaurant aims to serve the community with their Christian values, friendly environment and vast menu selection.

“We care about the people who come in and share their time with us. No matter how little the time is, we do really care,” owner Joe Gradney said. “And we’re not going to feed somebody something that we wouldn’t want, opposed to other places that probably from a commercial end just want to get you in and get you out the door as quick as possible.”

Owners Cari Gradney, Joe and Sandra Greene chose their current location because they have strong connections to Stephenville. Along with their frequent visits to town, Greene has family who are alumni of Tarleton State University.

“We’re excited to be in Stephenville,” Greene said. “We really like this town.”

According to Cari, their unique menu items will set Triple G Cafe apart from other restaurants in the area.

“We serve things that I know the other breakfast places doesn’t serve. For instance, we have pumpkin pancakes. We have peanut butter and jelly pancakes. We have 12 flavors of pancakes on the menu, 32 flavors in the computer,” Cari said.

All of the food is prepped daily and cooked-to-order. Along with pancakes, the menu features a variety of American food including burgers, waffles, French toast, omelets, sandwiches, crepes, eggs benedict, fried pie and more.

“We have any possible flavor, just about, of fried pie you could think that you want. We can make it for you,” Greene said. “We’re really well known for those.”

Tarleton students will receive 15% off their orders when they present their valid student ID cards.

“My biggest hope is that the community feels like it’s [Triple G Cafe] a place outside of their home that they can come to and be almost as comfortable as they are at home,” Greene said. “A place not just to eat but to meet friends, family together and enjoy a meal together.”

Restaurant hours are Monday-Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

“Just come down and give us a try. You know, see what’s going on,” Joe said.

Triple G Cafe is currently still hiring for a few more positions for anyone that would like to work at the restaurant.
