Why I joined: Ever since I was a kid, I have always enjoyed the art of storytelling. Which has led to me wanting to be an investigative journalist and Texan News Service gives me this opportunity. Telling stories and investigating the truth is such a passion of mine and I am grateful for this amazing team I get to work with.
Favorite part about TNS: My favorite part about TNS is the incredible staff I get to work with every week. This staff is hard working, dedicated and makes me want to be a better journalist.
Fun fact: I was on a food network show in high school.
Copeland Welch is the Managing Editor for the Texan News Service.

Where I'm from: Aquilla, Texas

Why I joined: Since high school, I have been an avid lover of public speaking, writing, and doing things outside of my comfort zone. Texan News Service (TNS) is the perfect combination of each of these. I joined TNS because I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself and meet other like-minded students who feel the same way and share the same as interests as me.
Favorite part about TNS: Hands down the weekly broadcast! Whether I am the anchor, helping backstage, or simply observing and learning, I always enjoy all aspects of the broadcast.
Fun fact: When I was 10 years old I was on Master Chef Junior!
Michaela Dennis is the Executive Producer for the Texan News Service.

Why I joined: To gain the experience of a journalist and support my university.
Favorite part about TNS: Being able to help produce the broadcast. Our studio is the best in the area.
Fun fact: I am the president of Zeta Phi Beta.
Reese Keeling is the Art Director for the Texan News Service.

Where I'm from: Austin, Texas
Classification: Junior
Why I joined: To fulfill my love of writing and newspaper design.
Favorite part about TNS: The staff! I love being able to come into work knowing I will always have the support of the other staff members and know that I will always have a good time in the office. I also love when our papers come out because it feels like such a reward to see the final product.
Fun fact: I was a dancer for15 years.
Haeley Carpenter is a Digital Media Director for the Texan News Service.

Where I'm from: Leander, Texas

Why I joined: I wanted to expand my skillset and be apart of something that served Tarleton and the Cross timbers community so well.
Favorite part about TNS: Our weekly meetings where we talk about stories and do our broadcast! It's a great time for us to bond and work together.
Fun fact: I'm also a double minor in Communication Studies and Business!

Why I joined: To give writing a try outside of the classroom and to serve the school. This is a great way to get communication experience and get your name out there.
Favorite part about TNS Everyone works together with a shared goal and common interests. The weekly story meeting and broadcast as well.
Fun fact: My Family member owns a news printing business and I played in the marching band here at Tarleton. I am a Tarleton athletics Intern.

Why I joined: I'm super interested in writing and journalism and I really wanted to get more involved at Tarleton.
Favorite part about TNS: The staff and just how nice everyone is.
Fun fact: I went to two night of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour!

Why I joined: To expand my knowledge in journalism so that I can pursue a career in rodeo journalism.
Favorite part about TNS: Being apart of a great, supportive team.
