Where I'm from: Tenaha, Texas

Why I joined: I joined the TNS my freshman year because I was trying to better my writing skills to prep for law school; however, somewhere along the way I fell in love with storytelling, reporting, interviewing, and photography way more than I ever did with law.
What I'm most excited about: As editor-in-chief this year, I am most excited to watch our team's skills grow, as they already have so much from just last semester. Our staff is incredibly talented and hard-working.
Gavin Patrick is the Co-Managing Editor/Sports Editor for the Texan News Service.

Where I'm from: San Antonio, Texas

Why I joined: I joined TNS to bring original sports coverage to Tarleton State, both informative and entertaining.
What I'm most excited about: I look forward to taking on an expanded editing role and churning out some of my best content yet before I graduate in December!

Why I joined: Because I love to write, love art and photography, and have found a great community here!
What I'm most excited about: I'm excited to meet new people and learn new skills as a journalist.
Kellan Byars is the Digital Media Director for the Texan News Service.

Why I joined: I joined the TNS because I fell in love with photography and writing while working for my hometown paper and jumped at the opportunity to continue doing that here!
What I'm most excited about: This semester, I'm most excited about my new role as digital media director. I have so many cool ideas I cannot wait to put into action.

Why I joined: I joined the TNS to have a get experience in the newsroom. As well as improve my writing and reporting skills.
What I'm most excited about: In my role this semester I’m excited to continue to work with Micaela & the TNS staff to produce a broadcast every week!

Why I joined: I joined the JTAC my freshman year of college because I loved writing for my high school newspaper and watching investigative documentaries in my free time. I've always loved reading and writing, and the JTAC gave me a creative outlet to grow in that while getting out of my shell.
What I'm most excited about: As a feature editor, I am most excited to help our team grow in their writing and interviewing skills while they explore all of the joys journalism has to offer!
